The Fishery

Salmon Fishing Season: February 1 - September 30

The Blackwater Lodge has totally exclusive fishing rights on an enviable selection of 16 of the best beats on this superb salmon river. Our beats have been carefully chosen to offer anglers a variety of fast water, flats & deep pools to suit all fishing methods.
The beats are rotated on a daily basis. You fish a different beat every day.
The number of rods is normally limited to two per beat (fly-only) or four per beat (all methods).

The huge extent of our fishery means that we can follow the runs of salmon from the lower beats in low water conditions to the upper river when they run through in high water.
A car is essential due to the extent of the river covered by our fishery.
Alternatively, we can arrange transport to the Lodge and a gillie to take you to the beats.
