New Best Day so far for 2015 - June 30th.!

Thirteen fish caught including six to 10lb. for one angler - for just 7 rod days in total.

New Best Fish on Fly - July 6!

A 12 pounder released by Chris Atkinson on the Island Stream on Lower Kilmurry.

Best June Total since 2002!

88 salmon & grilse to 14lb. caught for just 180 rod days.

Joint Best Fish so far for 2015!

Dan O'Keeffe caught a 14.0 pounder on prawn on Lower Kilmurry on June 8.
Cyril Killeen caught another 14.0 pounder on spinner also on Lower Kilmurry on June 9.

June 8:  New BEST FISH OF SEASON! 14.0lb on prawn for Dan O'Keeffe (Cork).
June 9:  Joint BEST FISH OF SEASON! 14.0lb on spinner for Cyril Killeen (Limerick).
June 11:  One sea-liced grilse on fly.
June 13:  Two very fresh (not sea-liced) grilse on worms.
June 14:  A sea-liced 5lb. grilse on fly at 05.00! A 12lb. First Ever Salmon on spinner for 18yr.
               old Adam Kempton (USA) on his birthday & a 5lb. on prawn from upriver.
June 16:  One 6lb. on spun pawn for Colm Dooly released on Kents.
June 17:  One 10.7lb on shrimp for Martin Eastment & a grilse for Dave McKinley from Carrig.
June 18:  One 9lb released on shrimp for Martin Eastment.
June 21:  SECOND BEST DAY OF SEASON. Eight fish to 9.7lb. Seven from the upper river.
                Good numbers of fish seen (including very fresh grilse right up to our topmost beat)
                & a number of other fish met.
June 22:  THIRD BEST DAY OF SEASON. Six fish to 9lb. three released. Late report.
               Two grilse 4 & 6lb. on trout flies at 22.30.
June 23:  Three fish to 8.3b. Two released.
June 24:  One grilse.
June 26:  Six grilse. 5 to 2 rods on one beat.
June 27:  Two gleaming grilse for one rod from the upper river & one 5lb. in the evening.
               Three on fly from the lower river. 
June 28:  NEW SECOND BEST DAY of SEASON. Nine fish. Three very fresh grilse from the upper
                river by midday. Four sea-liced fish to 7lb. for Kevin Collins (Cork) from Kilmurry
                & two more for Kieran Conlon from Ballinaroone.

June 29:  Three very fresh grilse. One from the very top beat just below Mallow
               & 2 from the lower river including one for Seamus Walsh - his first salmon for 25 years. 
June 30:  12.30  Already 5 grilse to 7lb. all released on fly on the lower river. 4 for one rod.
June 28:  BEST DAY of SEASON. Thirteen fish to 10lb. - all but one were very fresh grilse.
               One for Dave Walsh from the upper river by midday on spinner.
               Six fish for Kieran Conlon to 8lb. & 2 for Chris Kendellen to 6lb. all on fly.
               Two on spinner from Kents for Cyril Killeen. 10 released. Other deeply hooked so kept.
July 1:  One grilse.
July 2:  2 sea-liced grilse from the lower river
July 3:  3 sea-liced grilse from the lower river.

July 4:  2 sea-liced grilse from the lower river & another from the upper river.
July 5:  4 grilse - 3 from the lower river & another from the upper river.
            Including a First & Second Ever Salmon for 9 year old Luca Conlon under the watchful
            of his father Kieran!
July 6:  12.00 Already a 12lb fish released on fly on Lower Kilmurry.
             This the Best Fish on Fly so far for 2015. Three grilse from the upper river in the evening.

July 7:  Four grilse - (3 on fly) Two each from the upper & lower river.
July 8:  JOINT BEST DAY of SEASON. Thirteen grilse landed. 10 on fly.
July 9:  4 grilse - 2 on fly.
July 10:  4 grilse - all on fly
July 11:  8 grilse - 7 on fly.
July 12:  6 grilse - 3 on fly, including a First Ever Salmon for Klaus Betlejowski.
July 13:  4 grilse - two on fly.
July 14:  1 grilse on fly.
July 15:  3 very fresh grilse from the upper river.
July 16:  3 fish.  Maria Fasching (Germany) caught her First Ever Salmon. 5lb - it was taken on fly
              on the upper river & released.
July 17:  3 fish.  Walter Schilling (Germany) caught his First Ever Salmon. 5lb - it was taken on fly
              on the upper river & released. A First on Fly for Robert Kennedy
              & an 8lb for Ian McMullan - all on the upper river.
July 18:  Seamus Walsh caught his first ever salmon on the fly on a single hand rod.
July 19:  One grilse released by Dave Walsh on spinner upriver before the dirty flood hit!
July 20:  Two very fresh grilse from the lower river.
July 21:  2 grilse.
July 22:  Fifth Best Day of Season. 7 grilse - 3 on fly. 6 from the upper river.
July 23:  NEW Fifth Best Day of Season. 8 fish to 12lb. 7 grilse (4 on fly). 7 from the upper river.
              Gavin Wishart released a very fresh 12lb. on the Lug Pool on Lower Kilmurry.
              This is the Joint Third Best this Season - the biggest since another 12lb. on July 6th.
July 24:  2 grilse.
July 25:  4 grilse - all from the upper river.
July 26:  4 grilse - all on fly from the lower river. Best a sea-liced 5 pounder.
July 27:  3 grilse - all from the lower river. A First Ever Salmon for John last (UK) on fly!
July 23:  Joint SECOND BEST DAY of SEASON. 10 fish caught - 8 on fly!
