COUNTRY CHANNEL TV TO SHOWCASE GAME FAIRS AT SHANES CASTLE, ANTRIM AND BIRR CO OFFALY
Were you at Shanes Castle
Game Fair in June or at the Fair at Birr, Co Offaly in August? ?
Did you notice the television crew from Country Channel TV who were there on
both days of each event to make a programme about the Fair.
Maybe you were even interviewed or caught on camera at these two leading events.
Now the editing has been done and the first programmes are about to be broadcast on the Country Channel - Sky Channel 171.
Great Game Fairs Director
Albert Titterington is delighted with the development for his brand - the Great
Game Fairs of Ireland:
“The Irish Game Fair and County Lifestyle Festival at Shanes Castle and the
Irish Game Fair at Birr, Co Offaly are recognised
as the national Game and Country Fairs of their respective parts of Fairs in
Ireland. Now the Country Channel will showcase
these spectacular events to a worldwide audience through digital TV broadcasts
and programmes on the Internet.
Our goal of international status is now within reach through the worldwide
audience that these programmes will attract.
“Not
only will the audience see why Shanes Castle and Birr events are simply
unmissable in the game fair calendar
with their unique attractions and huge competition prize funds, but
international traders will see why the Great Game Fairs
offer marketing opportunities too good to be missed with over 30,000 visitors
over two days at Shanes and in spite of poor weather a similar audience at
Birr.”
Albert added:
“With our growing international reputation, it was always on the cards that a
worldwide television producer like Country Channel
would want to focus on the Great Game Fairs - at Shanes Castle and at Birr,
County Offaly and we were delighted to co-operate with them
fully to make these important programmes.
“This
is indeed a unique development for the Great Game Fairs brand that no other
organisers in Ireland can claim for their show.
Some people say that other fairs are just pale copies of what we do, but no
other promoter can claim the worldwide audience
generated by these programmes - although it is likely with their track record
of apparently imitating most of what we do they may try to at some stage.
But by then we will have moved on to offer even more to the public”
The programme will be shown
in two parts in one of the Country Channel’s Country Pursuits half hours.
Part One will be broadcast on Wednesday 21st October at 19:30, repeated on
Thursday 22nd at 06:00 and 12:30, and again on Sunday 25th October at 12:30
Part Two will be broadcast on Wednesday 28th October at 19:30, repeated on Thursday 29th at 06:00 and 12:30, and again on Sunday 1st November at 12:30.
They will also have a
worldwide audience through Internet access. The programme will also start
running online at www.countrychannel.tv
this week,
and we will make sure it has a prominent position on the front page!
Finally, Albert confirmed that editing of the Birr Castle programme is well under way and that he would shortly be able to release details of that programme as well.
The organizers of the Great Game Fairs of Ireland acknowledge the support of the the Events Unit of DCAL and Shannon Development.
