Another small flood on July 16 and records fall!
In my last newsletter on July 14, I gave
details of the Best Day of the Season & Best Catch from One Beat in One Day
achieved on July 13th.
Last Friday (16th.) we had another flood which took the gauge to 0.82m. By
Sunday 18th., the river was in cracking order & both records fell!

Glenda took our kids to the river on
Sunday. They caught 3 - one each on worms & Ian Jnr. caught a second on spinner - all by himself. Not bad for 7 years old! |

ProspectsThere was another 0.90m
flood on the river yesterday, but nevertheless Ragnhild "Ducky" Tofte from
Norway managed to catch
her First Ever salmon on Kilmurry having lost one earlier in the day as well.
Today - 20th. - even although the water was very peaty, there were ten fish
caught for a total of 5 rod days.
With the river fining off & large runs of fish coming in the prospects of fish
being caught are absolutely superb for the coming week.
We have caught 83 fish for only 100 rod days in the last 12 days.
