Newsletter - January 20, 2011

12,  11, 10, 9, 8, 7, ...........  The Countdown continues!

Excitement is building - the river is coming into cracking order and we
already have the new State Salmon licences in stock in the shop.

Fishing Report page

This is the latest picture of the river/rainfall conditions.
The river is now fining off nicely from a two metre flood on the 16
th. January which gave
the river a good flush-out and should help the huge number of kelts to return to sea safely.

The forecast is for mostly dry weather right up to the Opening Day on February 1st.,
so it looks as if it should even be in good fly order by then.
With temperatures falling again - as low as -5
°C at night - and the lower water levels,
the best chance of a fish at the start will be on the lower beats below Clondulane weir.

Updating of the page with the condition of the river in the run-up
to the Opening Day on February 1st. is being done daily.  Click here to go direct to the page.
